What is the HPV vaccine?

The HPV vaccine works by protecting the body against the most common and dangerous types of HPV that are responsible for the majority of cases of cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers. By getting the vaccine, you can significantly reduce your risk of developing these types of cancer.

The vaccination is typically recommended at a young age, before becoming sexually active, as this provides the best protection. In Denmark, the HPV vaccination is included in the national vaccination program for girls and boys. However, it's never too late to get vaccinated, and at Doctors in Denmark we can guide you on when and how to get vaccinated, regardless of your age.

If you would like to know more about the HPV vaccination, its benefits, and when you should consider getting it, you should book a physical or video appointment with one of our doctors.
