Clinical mammography with ultrasound scan

Clinical mammography with ultrasound scanning is an examination of the breast to detect or assess changes such as lumps or cysts. Mammography uses X-rays to take pictures of the breast tissue, while ultrasound scanning supplements by providing detailed images, especially of soft tissue. The combination increases the accuracy of the diagnosis.

No symptoms – just screening

In a clinical mammography, we combine a medical examination with breast and armpit palpation, an X-ray examination of the breasts (mammography), an ultrasound examination of the breasts and armpits.

If the doctor finds changes in the breast, you will be referred for a tissue sample (needle biopsy).

The examination lasts 30-60 minutes.

Do you have symptoms in your breasts or armpits?

In that case, you must book a 15 min. physical consultation for examination so that the correct treatment can be planned.
