What is the HPV vaccine

The HPV vaccine works by protecting the body against the most common and dangerous types of HPV, which are responsible for the majority of cervical and other HPV-related cancers. By getting the vaccine, you can significantly reduce your risk of developing these types of cancer.

The vaccination is typically recommended at a young age, before becoming sexually active, as this provides the best protection. In Denmark, the HPV vaccination is included in the national vaccination program for girls and boys. How to get the vaccine:

1. You book a video consultation with your doctor and receive advice and a prescription for the vaccine.
2. You pick up the vaccine at the pharmacy, bring it to the clinic and receive the vaccine there.
