Professionally updated: April 11, 2024

At Doctors in Denmark, we offer vaccination against Japanese encephalitis, a virus-borne disease transmitted by mosquitoes that can cause severe encephalitis. This disease is most prevalent in certain parts of the Asia-Pacific region, and the risk of infection is highest for those living in rural and agricultural areas, especially near water.

Vaccination against Japanese encephalitis

Our Japanese encephalitis (also known as Japanese encephalitis) vaccine is designed to give your body a defense against this virus. It contains parts of the virus that are safe, but still effective enough to train your immune system to recognize and fight the real virus should you be exposed to it. This means your body is better prepared to deal with the virus and the risk of serious illness is significantly reduced.

Vaccination is especially recommended for travelers planning to visit areas where the disease is prevalent and for people living in these regions. It is an important measure to protect yourself against the disease, and at Doctors in Denmark you can easily arrange an appointment for your vaccination.
